Beyond belief. A really unspeakable catastrophe - and there is no end in sight.
In addition - a tremendous financial crisis with millions upon millions upon millions losing their jobs, not having enough money for basic expenses, losing all of their money etc. etc. etc. In addition - heightened depression, addictions, abuse etc. etc. Unreal.
The spiritual ruin it has caused - Many kids going off the derech completely. Many many many others who have fallen precipitously in their ruchniyos. Frum kids who are barely davening and learning if at all, a new connection to modern technology i.e. iphones and movies etc. etc.
In addition, the Yeshivos in EY survive from donations from people from Chutz La-aretz. But now the fundraisers can't fly. So of course the donors can be contacted by phone or email but there is an old trick. Don't pick up the phone or respond to the email. The reason all these years fundraisers flew the breadth and depth of the world is b/c the call and email devices aren't effective. Of course there are those who are still giving but it is not the same.
What is my point? To appreciate the magnitude of what is going on so that we can feel the pain of so many people and so we can intensify our tfillos for a yeshua.
