These are scary times!!
So much violence is being threatened as a result of the elections [as of this writing we don't yet know who won but a "blood-bath" was threatened by someone on the left if Doniel is מנצח]!! People boarded up their stores in advance in great fear and concern. I personally am planning to loot the local stores regardless of who wins. I don't know how this will help anybody but at least I will get a lot of free stuff!!!
What is the din in the following case: You know that if so and so wins - a certain guy will kill a Jew or three [he hasn't thought of this plan yet but you know him...]. Afterward, it will be too late. Does he have a din rodef in advance [See Ponim Yafos Vayishlach 34-15].
Another shyla [from Rav Avraham Genechovsky ztz"l]: Let us say that a guy is planning to kill a Jew in two weeks. He is a rodef!! Should we be concerned with his חיי שעה [temporary life] and kill him as close to the deadline [literally] as possible or can we do away with him right away??
