שומר פתאים השם

Many people pronounce the pasuk in Hallel [and the subject of many a Halachic discussion - is smoking forbidden etc.] "Shomer Pi-sa-eem Hashem" [Hashem guards the foolish]. This is not correct. The "א" is silent, there is a חיריק under the "י" and it should thus be pronounced "Pisa-yim".

I guess that despite our "foolish" mispronunciation - Hashem still guards us!!!:-).
