I hear men talking to each other about lots of things - about politics, about money, about current events, about the weather, about sports [where I came from] and primarily [where I come from now] about Torah. The latter is beautiful. כן ירבו!
There is one topic I never hear discussed - EMOTIONS.
Why is that? We experience emotions all day long. Our emotions determine the quality of our lives much more than the weather, politics, current events and just about everything else - even the outcome of really "important" sports competitions like spring training baseball. Yet it is virtually NEVER the topic of conversation.
Why do we guys almost never discuss emotions?
I have my explanations but more importantly I would like to say that it is too bad. We neglect a very basic part of who we are.
Tonight I had a talk about emotions but the person I was talking to looked very female. She looked EXACTLY [but exactly] like my wife. That doesn't count as a guy [although she produced 3 of them].
