Ezer Kinegdo

One of the many stories told about Rebbetzin Knievsky [from one of her grandchildren]:

One time one of her grandson's was having a bris outside of Bnei Brak. The Rebbetzin wanted to go so she asked her husband Rav Chaim if it's ok [he doesn't attend out of town brissim]. He asked her not to go. She insisted that she really wanted to and added "I'll be back by 10", whereupon Rav Chaim agreed.

The grandchild present during this exchange asked why she felt it necessary to ask him permission to attend her grandchild's bris and why he was opposed to her attending. She replied "Sabba says that he learns much better when I am home."
