Nevuah #5 - From Whence It Commeth?

We think that Nevuah is sort of like a communication from "outer-space". This is an error. Let us examine the psukim.

הרק אך במשה דבר הלא גם בנו דבר

Did Hashem only speak IN Moshe [said Rebbetzin Miriam] He also spoke IN us.

פה אל פה אדבר בו

Mouth to mouth I will speak [said the Lord] IN him.

רוח השם דבר בי [שמואל ב כ"ג ב]

The spirit of Hashem spoke IN ME [said King David].

Prophecy comes from WITHIN not from without.
