Extraneous Limmud??

לזכות ידיד נפשי הרב יונתן שי בן הניה ואשתו היקרה רחל חנה בת גילה לברכה והצלחה בכל מעשי ידיהם בגשם וברוח!!!

The gemara [Yevamos 6b] derives from the juxtapostion of Shabbos to the building of the Beis Hamikdash that just as one must ALWAYS keep Shabbos, so we must ALWAYS fear the place of the Beis Hamikdash - even after it's destruction.

That presents the following quandry: The Rambam FAMOUSLY holds that the place of the Beis Hamikdash is eternally holy and we can even bring korbanos in the absence of a Beis Hamikdash. That obviates the needs for a yalfusa ["limmud" in Chinese] from Shabbos. So why does the gemara have to resort to the equation to Shabbos to prove that fear of the place of the Mikdash is eternal when we know that the destruction doesn't alter it's status so OF COURSE ["PSHITA" in Latin] it remains forever holy??
