Strange times: In the olden days, a moiser was someone who endangered Jewish lives [see Bava Kamma 117]. Such a person would routinely be placed in a sack filled with rocks and sent down the river... Today a moiser is someone who SAVES Jewish lives [by reporting dangerous gatherings to the authorities or by reporting pedophiles and the like].
In the olden days the Goyim would prevent us from davening because they hated us. Today, Goyim have to come into our shuls and kick us out in order to protect us from ourselves and save our lives.
It is nothing less than bizarre that a nation which is supposed to be heralded as an עם חכם ונבון needs the Goyim to enforce rules that we should be keeping on our own with great vigilance. [In Israel, over 45,000 people have been given tickets ("דו"ח") for not keeping the rules].
On the brighter side there are plenty of Jews who are very careful about keeping to the guidelines not to mention all those who have donated plasma and done other acts of love and kindness.
