For all those who had small Corona weddings: Many were disappointed because they dreamed of big weddings and we must be sensitive to that.
On the other hand - 1] wedding expenses are a source of tremendous stress to parents [which the children don't always realize] and often involves incurring debt that takes years to pay off. The fifty dollar wedding saved your parents.
I was reading that weddings these days can easily go in the range of 100K or even more. I am not sure why it must be that way...
2] In addition - a wedding is just a few hours and has no bearing on the level of marriage satisfaction afterwards. So what really matters - the rest of your lives - won't be affected.
3] I personally [like most people I believe] only remember two minutes worth of my wedding anyway. So you are not losing out on memories.
4] What really matters is love. If you are married to a person you love - you WON!!
