BDE, Rabbi Sholem Lifchetz, Rabbinic Field Representative for OU Kosher for 43 years succumbed to COVID-19. He will be remembered for his diligence in checking Kashrus in the field, as well as for his kind personality, so valued by everyone who knew him.
Rabbi Lifchetz z”l trained all the new Rabbis at the OU. He taught a critical lesson about people: “Everyone is entitled to 8 mishegasin”. Not everything people do makes sense all the time. It’s just their “mishegas”. Let them have it.
