Fascinating!!! Take a Goy like Donald J. T. He was very busy convincing people how incredibly rich he is. And his detractors said that he was lying and he has much less than he claimed.
With Jews that never happens. I have known countless wealthy people in my life. Like really really wealthy. I can't remember one who ever admitted it. It is always like "things are rough". "Business is slow". "This is so expensive!!!" [nine dollars as opposed to seven].
There are a LOT of people who have endless money hidden away in various investments, real estate, the stock market etc. etc. But nooooobdy knows.
Why is that???
Is it tzniyus?
Or something else??
Maybe if people know how much I am worth - the schnorrers will be after me. So keep it low key and then I can keep it for myself and not even feel guilty.

I DON'T KNOW!!!! I have never been anybody else and I have never hidden away millions of dollars. But it is a question worth thinking about. If it comes from a good place - then SUPER. But if not....
