The headline in the Times Of Israel reads:
Near the Western Wall, Jewish radicals shout at Christian Evangelicals to ‘go home’This is not merely reporting the news but an opinion piece. What makes it insidious is that it is masked as merely telling what transpired. That is MOST of the media today.
What makes the Jewish radicals "radical"?? The Christians were being עובד עבודה זרה right near the Kotel. It is not the Jewish radicals only that shout "go home" but the TORAH. It is very clear in many psukim that the Torah doesn't want idol worshippers in Israel at all - certainly not worshipping their gods and certainly not near our holiest site. So this is not just a negative portrayal of Jews but of the תורה הקדושה. They worship Yoshke. Yoshke was not a god but a man. So as far as we are concerned they are idolators. That is besides the fact that they want all of us to convert.
How about this headline: "Near The Western Wall Jews Express Pain That A Human Being Is Being Worshipped As A god". Historically, this man-god has been the source of RIVERS AND RIVERS of Jewish blood spilled.
Should they have screamed? I don't know. Would I personally have screamed? Knowing myself - no. Were they wrong? Hard to say.
