"It Wasn't Easy" - A Story That Would Be Funny If It Weren't So Pathetic

Hillary Clinton isn’t rich. She’s you.

The Clintons, who are so fond of reminding voters that former President Bill Clinton left behind a budget surplus, were not so particular about their personal finances in the late 1990s. If you forgot that little historical detail, Hillary Clinton is happy to remind you that she, too, has “struggled” and knows what “dead broke” feels like.

“If you have no reason to remember, but we came out of the White House not only dead broke but in debt,” Clinton told ABC’s Diane Sawyer after being confronted with the fact that she makes a ridiculous amount of money on the speaking circuit.

“We had no money when we got there and we struggled to, you know, piece together the resources for mortgages for houses, for Chelsea’s education, you know, it was not easy,” she added.

This is what I don't get. Both she and her husband had well paying jobs for their entire adult life. They have only one child. Her husband just earned over 400K a year for 8 years when they lived rent free in a beautiful White House.

How is it possible to be broke and in debt???

I am ALSO broke and in debt but I haven't made 400K in my entire life combined and also have 6 children. [I also don't have the option of making it up by charging many times more than the annual salary of an American for one speech as the Clintons. But not for lack of good material....:-)].

So how can we trust someone to be in charge of the economy of an entire country and by extension - the entire world - if she can't even manage her own finances???!! [And if Bill really improved the economy as is claimed then הודו לשם כי טוב!]

I just want to feel that our leaders are competent and it is hard to get that feeling at times.

Of course, Trump filed for bankruptcy on 4 separate occasions.

So who is fit to lead??

Couldn't we have done better???

The only answer is the the Ribbono Shel Olam runs the world and elects Presidents.
