People think that to be "spiritual" means to eat little, sleep little, learn a lot and daven a lot. Sexual relations? That is the DIAMETRICAL OPPOSITE of spirituality.
Except that the Zohar Ha-Kadosh says that if one wants the "Spirit" i.e. the presence of the שכינה, the way to bring it is to have sexual relations. NOT HAVING relations causes the שכינה to leave. I didn't say it....
Of course there is a lot more to this.
