An article about how the Internet has affected halachic practice here.
The author writes : "One high school principal once remarked to me, 'I run a summer camp with APs.'
That is interesting because one of the most popular MO high schools is described to me by their graduates as like a "summer camp". The students have GREAT time. They barely learn a thing but they all have a positive attitude toward Yiddishkeit, making it easier from them to make the transition to a more sincere religious lifestyle when they get to Israel after high school. So the parents who are paying about 100K for their kids to learn so little shouldn't feel TOO bad.
