There is a big debate abt. wearing Tcheiles in our times. Some wear. Others don't. אלו ואלו דברי א-להים חיים. There are big people on both sides of the question.
But there is a point people miss. When a number of Jews in the Midbar were Tamei and were not allowed to bring the Pesach they complained למה ניגרע!!! Why should we be any less than anybody else and miss out!!!
What do you mean? You are Tamei??? What is the טענה?
Answer: Logically - there was no room for complaint. They were disqualified and that's IT!! But EMOTIONALLY they could not come to terms with missing out on the Pesach. And in fact Hashem "had their backs" [as they say today] and created a concept called Pesach Sheni.
OK, non-Tcheiles people. We don't have Tcheiles בזמן הזה. You are off the hook. But let us see some השתוקקות to fulfill the mitzva di-oraisa of Tcheiles!!! Every day you say הכנף פתיל תכלת and you don't have Tcheiles. Shouldn't this pain you???
I write this b/c I saw a shiur where the Maggid Shiur was making Leitzanis from Tcheiles wearers. OK - maybe you are right and they are all wrong. But at least they have a desire to fulfill a mitzva di-oraisa. It is also QUITE expensivo!!! That counts for something - doesn't it??
