Rav Aharon Feldman shlita quoted the Surgeon General that we are headed towards a national mental health crisis.
I have news for Dr. General. We are already in the throes of one. In 2019, 47,511 [!!!!! Count, one, two etc. and see how long it takes you to get to that number. Each one is a person with a family etc.] people committed suicide in the US. In 2020 - 45,855 people [about 123 a DAY!!!!!!!!]. 21% of U.S. adults experienced mental illness in 2020 (52.9 million people !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). [Not to mention all those super nervous guys who can't wait for the chazzan to start chazaras hashatz.]
If this isn't a crisis I don't know what is.
