In our generation, there is so much talk about how to be better parents, how to understand one's children, how to love them and accept them more etc. etc. Indeed - very important. Our children are our future and children today need things that perhaps children didn't need in the past. We should be forever working on improving as parents.
But so little is spoken about how the children must respect the parents.
Our generation is in many ways more "frum" that our parent's and grandparent's generation - but not when it comes to honoring parents. We have a lot to learn from them.
