Shabbos In Shul - Leading The Conversation

From an article about a popular Chasidic journalist:

“In Shabbos in shul, I was always the one leading the conversation about political events,” he said.

RACHMANA LITZLAN!! Shabbos, in a Beis Knesses, known as "Mikdash Me'at" which has sanctity [according to at least one Shittas Rishonim - מדאורייתא] such that one is not allowed to talk about secular matters - and he boasts that he lead the conversation about the latest in שקר וכזב politics. 😨😧

OY VEY!

So remember. You can spend you time reading articles written by dudes who talk politics in shul on Shabbos. Or you can spend that SAME TIME reading Divrei Torah written by people who go to shul and actually daven there, leaving the "נייעס" ["news"] for people with nothing better to do with their time.

Love this doozer of a post. 😊

PS - I am not saying that one should not know what is going on. But there is knowing what is going on, which is one thing. Another is being immersed in all the commentaries and sub-commentaries....
