There was a great Dayan, Gaon and Tzadik named Rav Avraham Dov Levine [who passed away a few years ago]. As any good Dayan who paskens according to emes - he was viciously attacked. Among other things, a group of extremists [I will leave it up to you to figure out from which group of crazies] spray painted words of disgrace against him on the street.
He wasn't particularly bothered. Look, he said, they also spray painted "אלישיב=קוק" and "שטינמן - שטן מין". So I am in good company....
