I read on a "religious" website that a certain actress [with Jewish blood] is a "class act". Why? She stands up against Anti-Semitism. Yay her!!! She tweeted "Btw....I am NOT looking to cancel anyone. I AM looking to OPPOSE antisemitism, white supremacy, fascism, transphobia and other oppressive regimes and ideologies where the sole intent is the silencing, obliteration and annihilation of others.”
In other words she is conflating hating people b/c they are Jewish or b/c of the color of their skin or identifying with an authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement, characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation and race [i.e. fascism] with being opposed to people [even children as has become popular] randomly changing their gender and insisting on being called a different gender than they are biologically b/c they feel like it. Being against Jews is the same as being against men using women's bathrooms and boys sleeping in girls bunks in camp b/c the boy says he is a girl [despite clear, incontrovertible proof to the contrary].
Her opposition to anti-semitism and racism is just part of her general woke ideology which I [and millions of others and most importantly - our tradition] find repulsive.
Not classy.
That is in addition to the fact that ANYTHING related to Hollywood is completely in stark contrast to our beliefs. The total lack of modesty, the idol worship of people whose greatest talent is that they can pretend to be someone they are not, the hypersexualization of women, the messages relayed by the medium of TV and movies, the vulgarity, the inability of movie stars to maintain any meaningful relationships and so much more [חיצוניות חיצוניות חיצוניות!!!] are simply poison for the [Jewish and even non-Jewish] mind and soul. It has been over 30 years since I detached myself from imbibing of that world and the impurity remains. There is no mikva in the world strong enough to completely cleanse the soul of their klipos.
I wanted to make that clear b/c maybe someone out there will read this and as a result be vigilant to raise children [and the child inside of themselves] who are pure and clean from those toxins.
So actresses are not our role models. B"H we have Sarah Imeinu and millions of Jewish women since who can be WONDERFUL role models for our girls and inspiration for all. So yes - we are DELIGHTED to "cancel" people whose ideas are leading to the moral erosion of society.
