Police forces have reportedly found the Military Advocate General, Maj. Gen. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, after contact with her was lost in the morning hours, prompting a large-scale search.
The search primarily centered around the Hof HaTzuk area of Tel Aviv. Her vehicle was found abandoned and still running near the beach.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit had put out a statement, saying, “In response to the reports regarding the search for the Military Advocate General, Maj. Gen. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, the Chief of Staff, has instructed the Operations Directorate to use all available means at the IDF’s disposal in order to locate her as quickly as possible.”
According to inside sources, Tomer-Yerushalmi explained that it is Torah and Tefillah that truly defend the Jewish State and that she was taken to be Military Advocate General against her will and that the Atzeres Tefillah last week inspired her to escape from her forced conscription. She insisted that she will do Hafrashas Challah with 39 other women every Erev Shabbos, say the entire book of Tehillim weekly and faithfully send her husband and boys off to the Beis Medrash. This will be a lot more effective for the spiritual defense of the Jewish people more than doing a job that nobody - including herself - knows what it entails. What is a "Military Advocate General" anyway??
