Trump Brokers Another Historic Peace Deal

U.S. — Mere weeks after bringing about a much-heralded ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, President Donald Trump pulled off yet another historic treaty by successfully negotiating a peace deal between kehillos who daven on Leil Shabbos with the Carlebach nusach and those who use the more traditional tunes.

Though the conflict had transitioned into more of a "cold war" in recent years, the hostilities between attendees of the Carlebach tefillos and those who prefer more traditional niggunim had never shown any sign of subsiding until President Trump took office.

"He really is the ‘Peace President,'" said Yoni Greenberg, a 47 year old lawyer who has been a committed attendee of Carlebach tefillos for over 20 years. "We've been at odds with those who sang the outdated niggunim for what seems like all of history. Anyway… Trump showed up and said that it was time for the fighting to end. I just hope that this lasts. It was pretty intense."

The president took credit for the peace deal but said he did it out of compassion for all those lost during the conflict. "It was time to put an end to the bloodshed," Trump told reporters. "For far too long, at our shul's board meetings they have been at each other's throats arguing about this. It's very sad. Leibidig, dancing, jumping, big smiles on one side. Solemn, serious, intense on the other. This led to serious violence. I took office, and I said, ‘No more killing.' Now, we finally have peace."

At publishing time, Trump was working on a ceasefire between people who eat gebrochts and those who don't.

Truly, a president for all the people.
