I once had a kesher w/ a bachur who wanted to attend a certain prominent yeshiva. I attempted to help get him accepted. He was not so strong in learning but had a ratzon to grow. Hey, not everybody has the kop of Rav Chaim Shmuelevitz.... So he goes for the farher [test] after which I, little me [!!!], merited receiving a phone call from the Rosh Yeshiva himself!!! The RY promptly EXCORCIATED me for sending this boy and wasting his time!馃槀馃槂
It turns out that the boy didn't even know about the machlokes of 讘讬讟诇讜 讜诇讗 讘讬讟诇讜 vs. 拽讬讬诪讜 讜诇讗 拽讬讬诪讜!!!! The sky is FALLING!!! Now I am guessing that there are a few people reading this who also don't know about this dispute but then again I didn't send you to waste this RY's time!
Needless to say, he was not accepted.
Anyway, fast forward not so many years. This boy is now at the top of his profession. He makes more moola in one year than I have made in my life. Everybody reading this has heard of him. He is also a Ben Torah w/ a mishpacha.
Moral: Everybody has a tafkid and everybody has special talents and abilities. Find yours and serve Hashem with them. Every male is 讞讬讬讘 in 转诇诪讜讚 转讜专讛 but not everybody is cut out to be a Gadol in Torah. So try to maximize your capabilities in learning but don't forget about your other kochos.
Said the Rav ztz"l in 诪讜住讱 讗讘讬讱 讘,讘:
