There is a Chasidishe fellow who is very active on social media. He is a dyed in the wool socialist. Sort of a frum Bernie Sanders.
I find this odd - and disturbing.
The entire success of the Torah world today [and the world at large!!] is predicated on capitalism and free market. All the Yeshivas get their money from people who made it only b/c of capitalism. Of course, Hashem could have given them money in any which way, but His means are through capitalism. Socialism doesn't breed the multi millionaires that support the Torah world. Thousands of pages of Gemara a day are learned with the Schottenstein Gemara. If the socialists would have their way, there would be no Schottensteins in the world.
But he is SURE that socialism is the way to go. There is always an opportunity to do Teshuva......
