בחודש מרץ השנה הוגש כתב אישום חמור נגד אלעד בן נון בן ה-35 בגין סחיטה באיומים של עשרות גברים, פגיעה בפרטיות ועבירות נוספות. לפי כתב האישום, בן נון, שזכה לכינוי "צייד הפדופילים" התחזה לנערים ונערות בני 15, יצר קשר בעל אופן מיני עם גברים, הזמין אותם להיפגש - ואז סחט אותם. לבן נון מיוחסים 33 מקרים שונים שהתרחשו בין השנים 2016-2019, אז פעל בן נון בדפוס פעולה חוזר, יצר קשר עם גבר תוך שהוא מתחזה לקטין או קטינה, הם החליפו מספרים והחלו להתכתב בוואטסאפ.
In summary - a guy posing on social media as a young boy [or girl] set up meetings with people to engage in משכב זכור [or נקבה] - they came, at which point he blackmailed them for a lot of money to keep it quiet. The PROBLEM is that these people are very prominent and well known doctors, army people and businessman. They are going to go scot free in exchange for testifying against Bin Nun who was trying to catch and expose these sickos.
So the police and justice system know that over 30 prominent people are pedophiles who thought that they were "hooking up" with a 15 year old boy [or girl] and are going to do nothing about it other than listen to them admit they did it and then let them go free. Instead - they want to put the guy catching the criminals behind bars [for blackmailing them. I am not saying that what he did was legal. It wasn't. But how can these people not be exposed to the public or at least removed from any position they hold????!!!].

In related news - a man recently moved into my neighborhood who allegedly molested many many children decades ago in the US and [as many do] ran away to Israel. I contacted the frum politician who was involved in the case to ask if the allegations were true. He said that he doesn't remember details, told me to be concerned and that he would have someone get in touch with me who might be able to help. This person never did [as far as I know].
Don't trust anybody and keep close tabs in your children - wherever they are.
