There is a popular Internet lecturer who is outspoken in his criticism of Artscroll for censoring their books of history and not telling the whole story [or making up stories].
In a recent talk, he unabashedly admitted that in one of his own history books he censored himself for a certain reason and omitted an interesting, and some would argue significant, episode. He wasn't embarrassed to admit it. That is called "lack of self awareness".
