ANAHEIM, CA — A local father who had taken his family to Disneyland was reportedly shocked at how well they were all behaving until he suddenly discovered he was standing with the wrong family.
"That explains it," Kevin Albert had said upon discovering his mistake. "Maybe I can just join this family instead."
According to witnesses, Albert had gotten separated from his own family somewhere near the Indiana Jones Adventure, where Adventureland narrows into a congested mess of park guests and gift shops. "I should have known something was off when the older kids didn't grab toy whips from the gift shop to beat the little ones," Albert told park security.
The new family, whose name is being withheld out of respect for their privacy, was the same size as Albert's own, but was kind and hospitable to both each other and everyone else they came across. The kids would say "please" and "thank you." They even offered to buy Albert a meal at the Hungry Bear Restaurant after he had inadvertently assumed he was their father.
"We thought he was homeless," said the unnamed family's true patriarch.
At publishing time, despite being reunited with his real family later in the day, Albert admitted that, for at least a moment, Disneyland really had become the "Happiest Place on Earth."
