Dreaming Of Ways To Redemption

Rav Moshe Teitelbaum, author of the Yismach Moshe [d. 28 Tammuz 1841] often dreamed of creative interpretations of Maamari Chazal. In one place he writes that he dreamed that the gemara that says [Sanhedrin 97] that Moshaich won't come עד שאזלה פרוטה מן הכיס - until people experience such financial hardship that they don't even have a penny in their pockets, has an additional meaning.

Moshiach won't come until אזלה הפרטיות מן הכיס - the individuality leaves the pocket. As long as people think that this is MY money Moshiach can't come. The tikkun is to realize that לי הכסף ולי הזהב נאום השם - all of the money is just entrusted to you by Hashem. Everything you need for your personal needs may be used as such but ANYTHING EXTRA must be given to those in need.

I am not sure that most people have come to the realization that their money is not really theirs. When they do - ציון במשפט תפדה ושביה בצדקה - tziyon will be redeemed.
