Conserve Or Dismantle? Depends What

An outspoken Dati Leumi Rabbi in Israel has all these ideas. One of them is that in our times a Sukkah built under a roof should be kosher b/c of the way we build today.

Pretty wacky.

He recently wrote another piece lamenting the fact that in the D"L world so many Ashkenazim daven Nusach Sefard. He insists that Ashkenazim must return to the source and daven in the historical Nusach.

People are complex. He is hyper-conservative [i.e. Charedi] when it comes to Nusach Hatefilla. He wants to "conserve" the past. But he is Conservative [in contrast to what is called today "Orthodox"] and wants to overturn the past and validate a Succah that is פסול מדאורייתא.
