The Real News: A Prophetic Roadmap for the End of Days

We are living in a time of deep confusion. Is there a war? Is there not a war? Are we in a true ceasefire or just a brief pause before the next explosion? What is happening on the Lebanese border? We hear talk of negotiations with the Lebanese government, claiming they want to remove Hezbollah. Are they truly partners?

The answers to these questions were written thousands of years ago by the Prophets of Israel. Their words are the "real news." They provide the map for the road leading to the complete Redemption (Geula). As it is written: "Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth, I tell you of them" (Isaiah 42:9).

The Creator is not a mere fortune teller whose words might or might not come true. Everything He wrote in the Torah has happened or will happen. He told Moses he would lead us out of Egypt with a "strong hand and an outstretched arm," and it happened. The Prophets warned of Sennacherib’s conquest and Nebuchadnezzar’s destruction of the First Temple, and those too came to pass.

True Prophets vs. Political Illusions

In ancient times, there was a great tension between the true Prophets and the "False Prophets" who sold the people a calming illusion. These false prophets pointed to past miracles—like when an angel struck down Sennacherib’s army—as "proof" that God would never allow His Temple to be destroyed. They shouted: "The Temple of the Lord, the Temple of the Lord, the Temple of the Lord!" (Jeremiah 7:4).

They were not spiritual men; they were lowly politicians who used the sanctity of the Temple to foster a false sense of security. Today, we must be wary of anyone—even Rabbis—who sets specific dates for the Messiah. Even the Messiah himself does not know his identity until the moment God reveals it to him, just as Moses did not know his mission until the Burning Bush. Only Elijah the Prophet will reveal the mortal man living among us who is the Redeemer.

"Israel is Not a Widower"

We must remember the promise: "For Israel is not a widower, nor Judah, of his God, of the Lord of Hosts" (Jeremiah 51:5). This is a divine guarantee. Despite the long exile and the destruction we have endured, the bond between God and His people is never severed.

We are witnessing the fulfillment of the "End of Days" in the most powerful way. Shocks are rocking the globe. Israel—a tiny fraction of the world’s population—is at the very center of human history. This is not by chance. God lifted us from the depths of October 7th and turned us into a power that the world regards with awe and, in some cases, irrational fury. Our enemies claim we control the policies of the world’s greatest superpower. While their accusations are "absurd," they touch on a spiritual truth: the Creator of the World, who chose us, is the one directing the hearts of leaders. It is no accident that those surrounding the American leadership include those who believe that blessing Israel brings blessing to the world.

The Failure of the "Conception"

There is a dangerous excitement in the political establishment regarding talks with Lebanon. They speak of the "wings of history" and other clichés. They claim we are on the "same side of the equation" as the Lebanese government.

Remember when they told us the Palestinian Authority would handle Hamas? Or that Sinwar would restrain Islamic Jihad? We are making the same mistake again by putting our trust in weak, divided, and broken neighbors. Parts of Southern Lebanon are the ancestral lands of the tribes of Asher, Naphtali, and Dan—lands currently held by strangers.

The "Conception" (the failed political mindset) tells us that Israel cannot realize its own strength, that it needs international legitimacy above all else. It tells us we cannot hold territory or settle the land, even though history proves this is the only path to security. We cannot be on the "same side of the equation" as these nations; we can only be on the same side as the Creator. It is far more logical that Israel destroys Hezbollah and the Lebanese benefit from it, rather than expecting the Lebanese to do our work for us.

Leprosy and the Light of Redemption

The Talmud (Sanhedrin 97a) says that the Son of David will not come until the entire kingdom turns to heresy (Minut). It compares this to the laws of Leprosy (Tzaraat): when the plague covers the entire body and turns it white, the person is paradoxically declared "pure."

What is the connection? When the "plague" of godlessness and the denial of the Torah spreads everywhere—when even internal forces in Israel speak of "dismantling the world of Torah"—it is a sign that the darkness has reached its peak. And when the darkness is total, the light is about to break.

This process of "clarification" is happening on every level. In a marriage, true peace (Shalom Bayit) doesn't come from ignoring conflict, but from bringing the pain into the conversation. In our service to God, the "hiding within the hiding" is the greatest danger—when we are sick but think we are fine. We must expose the wounds to heal them.

Conclusion: A Call to Faith

We are approaching the final chapters of history. We see Iran, Russia, Turkey, and China forming alliances. All options are on the table. This is the biblical Gog and Magog. The Prophet Ezekiel warned that in this time, "Every man's sword shall be against his brother," and God will manifest His greatness before the eyes of the nations.

We must wake up now. We must hold fast to the faith of our fathers and cry out to our Father in Heaven to have mercy. We need the Messiah today more than ever. We have no one to rely on but our Father in Heaven. Ein Od Milvado—there is none besides Him.

May we merit the building of the Third and eternal Temple, and may the Redeemer come to Zion speedily in our days. Amen.
