Cultivate

A old Yiddish speaking man comes to the US and is taking a class to learn English. The teacher asked him to spell "cultivate" which he did correctly. He was then asked to used the word in a sentence. He said sure. "I vas vaiting for de bus but is vas too cultivate so I took de subway."
