WHY ME???!!!
I have two good working kidneys for every second of my life since before I was born. Did you hear that?? AMAZING!! Why do I deserve that??
Did I mention "hearing"? I have two perfect ears and hear everything [within earshot, of course]. Words, music, a honking horn - everything!! You see what I mean?? Why do I deserve that??
Did I say "see"? I have two eyes that can see everything - mountains, hills, valleys, trees, grass, books, stores, my hands, the fridge - everything!! [My glasses help but they get me to 20/20]. Why do I deserve that??
Did I mention "hands"? I have ten AMAZING fingers connected to the palm of my hands. They can do sooooo much!!! Type, eat, brush my teeth, open the door. The list is endless!!! Why do I deserve that???
Did I say "teeth"? I have incredibly strong teeth. They can bite and chew any types of food. Why do I deserve that???
Did I say "food"??? I have had food and drink [clean, drinking water!!!] every day of my life!!! Delicious and often nutritious! I have never been starving [like Auschwitz starving - not Tisha B'av starving. That is not starving]. I can eat whever my brain tells me that I need to eat. Why do I deserve that???
Did I mention "brain"?? I have a brain!! I am more brilliant than the entire animal kingdom!!! I use my brain for so many amazing things every waking moment!! Like thinking of things to say to my wife and children. Why do I deserve that???
Did I mention "wife and children"?? I am married with children who live with me in our house, B"H! Why do I deserve that???
Did I mention "house"? I have a roof over my head and a tiled floor under my feet and walls around me. They keep me cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I literally have an amazing Jewish home. Why do I deserve that???
Did I mention "Jewish"? I am Jewish!! Less than one percent of the human population is and zero percent of the plant population. What a blessing!! The most special, chosen group on earth!! Go onto the computer and see how the whole world is OBSSESSED with us! Why do I deserve that???
Did I mention "computer"?? I have a computer!! It can do so much. I can write a message and have it in someone else's computer anyhere in the world in a second. It has [potentially] millions of books in it. Billions of videos. It tells me the weather, the bus schedule, directions to go where I am walking and billions of other pieces of information. Why do I deserve that??
Did I mention "walking"? I have two good working legs?? They take me everywhere!!! Why do I deserve that???
Sweet friends - this is a very very very very minute amount of the blessings I have in my life.
Why do I deserve all of them and much much more???
