Rav Dovid Cohen Shlita [RY Chevron] told the following story to the Tolna Rebbe Shlita [from whom I heard it]:
A man once came to Rav Chaim Kniyevsky Shlita and asked for a bracha that he should have success with the cafe he is planning to open up. R' Chaim asked him what people do at a cafe. He said that they eat, drink, smoke and talk a lot. R' Chaim said "חבל על הזמן" - "it is a waste of time".
This man was soooo happy, thanked Rav Chaim and left the room.
R' Chaim didn't understand what had happened. Why was he so pleased?
It turns out that he understood that Rav Chaim was saying "חבל על הזמן" as it means in modern slang - "AWESOME" "SUPER-DUPER". He felt that he had R' Chaim's haskama so he was very pleased and left on that note.....
