The Mishna in Yoma [1/6] says that the elders would make the Kohen swear that he wouldn't change his avoda on Yom Kippur from the way the Torah commanded. Then he go away and cries [that they suspected him] and they go away and cry [ditto].
This is ODD! Why is this expression of emotion mentioned in the MISHNA?? Is there some sort of halacha here? What is going on??
