Pidyon Shvuyos

Brittney Griner, the 6'9' [!!!] female basketball player detained in Russia over alleged drug charges, has become the latest of several Americans who have yet to secure their freedom from a country increasingly isolated from the rest of the world.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine brought forth global condemnation from governments and peoples alike, who have since boycotted Russian goods, frozen Russian access to banking systems and enacted crippling sanctions. And amid the growing economic repercussions, families and supporters of Griner and other detained Americans, like Trevor Reed and Paul Whelan, are working to free their loved ones as diplomatic channels fade.

Russian authorities said Griner, 31, had cannabis oil ["weed juice"] in her luggage while in a Moscow airport last month [right next to her Artscoll Chagiga] and accused her of smuggling significant amounts of a narcotic substance -- an offense punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Russian prisons have been mistaken for five star hotels. A Moscow court has extended her arrest until May 19, according to Russian state news agency TASS. She was also accused of taking forbidden drugs that induce excessive growth. How ELSE does a lady grow to be almost seven feet??!!!

She could NOT have been carrying drugs. She is a model citizen and an example for us all:

On August 14, 2014, Griner announced her engagement to fellow WNBA player Glory Johnson [they couldn't figure out who should propose to whom b/c it is the guy who proposes to the girl. What do you do if there is no guy?? A SHYLA!!!]. On April 22, 2015, they were both arrested on charges of assault and disorderly conduct after police responded to a fight between the two [about whether to have sunny side up or scrambled eggs for breakfast] in their suburban home in Phoenix, Arizona. Both had sustained some injuries. Despite this incident, they married [very wisely] the following month on May 8, 2015 in Phoenix. On May 15, 2015, the WNBA suspended Griner and Johnson for seven games each after Griner pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct charges [so why was Johnson suspended?]. Griner was also required to complete 26 weeks of domestic violence counseling. It mamesh didn't help....

On June 4, 2015, Griner and Johnson announced that Johnson was pregnant with twins [via immaculate conception]. The following day, and after less than a month of marriage, Griner filed for an annulment of the marriage citing fraud and duress [and that Johnson had gotten too fat]; the annulment was denied [Griner had gained some herself]. Johnson gave birth to twin girls on October 12, 2015, 16 weeks premature; they were conceived with Johnson's eggs [not the scrambled ones] through in vitro fertilization. Griner was ordered to pay child support to Johnson. The couple's divorce was finalized in June 2016. Not a "Glorious" union for Glory.

Griner became engaged to Cherelle Watson in August 2018 and they married in June 2019. Cherelle was SURE that her "Kallah" had reformed [she took 26 weeks of domestic violence counseling  didn't she??!!] and will be a MODEL spouse. The woman of her dreams. Her Princess Charming in size 17 sneakers  They should be zoicheh to build a bayis neeman anywhere but in Eretz Yisrael. We have enough of our own problems, thank you.

May "Brittney bas Momma" be reunited very soon with her "wife" and children!!!
