Kirby Puckett was a baseball icon who played for the Twins in the later 1900's. In his Hall of Fame induction speech he publicly declared his appreciation and "love" for his wife.
Soon after, she went to the police, claiming that he had threatened to kill her. Another woman went to the police complaining that Kirby's wife had threatened to kill HER b/c Kirby was allegedly having an affair with her [don't believe it!!!]. They later divorced.
I concluded from this that "love" means different things to different people.
