What I wrote in this post that the Brisker Rov held that we must believe that Moshiach will definitely come today is INCORRECT. I was informed by a reader and looked at the sources and saw that he says that we must believe that he CAN come every day - but not that he necessarily WILL.
So I ask mechilah from the Brisker Rov ztz"l for asking a question on something he never said and thank the reader from correcting me. In עיקרי אמונה one must be EXCEEDINGLY careful.
But please see this post for more analysis. [Again - my language there wasn't precise and it should say that the Brisker Rov said that we must believe that Moshiach CAN come every day not that he necessarily "will"].
