Many say "Who will show me good". Let the light of your face shine upon us Hashem.

The masses don't see the present as being good so they complain. But we say נסה עלינו אור פניך השם - We KNOW that everything is for the best but what concerns us is that the light of your face is not shining to us as brightly as it should. We are concerned only for your glory while we view our situation as PER-FECT.
In the words of the Tzadik:
We may add that when we merit the light of Hashem's face, so much comes along with it. כי באור פניך נתת לנו תורת חיים ואהבת חסד וצדקה etc. etc. so we are essentially asking for more Torah and love of Chesed and Tzdaka etc.
