הַבִּ֣יטָֽה עֲ֖נֵנִי יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֑י הָאִ֥ירָה עֵ֜ינַ֗י פֶּן־אִישַׁ֥ן הַמָּֽוֶת
Look and answer me, O Hashem my God; enlighten my eyes lest I sleep the sleep of death.
Look Hashem and see that the reason I want you to answer is in order that we should recognize that you are our G-d. And if the time hasn't yet come to receive an answer, at the very least, open my eyes that I should realize that you are in charge, lest I die and then I will be in darkness.
