Today I was thinking about those two famous brothers. Groucho and Karl Marx. What - they aren't related???
Anyway - I believe in Capitalism and free market, as I understand that the Torah does. [See here and here ].
That being said - today I went to the dentist after a tooth of mine broke on Shabbos which will BARUCH HASHEM require extensive work. I was reflecting on the cost. If someone is in a low income profession they could pay an entire month's salary for a few short visits to the dentist. But they have to feed their families [and themselves] that month!!! What are they to do? Society needs construction workers, janitors, nurses, aides for the old and infirm and school teachers. But society doesn't value their work to pay them nearly as much as society pays people in such "critical" professions as acting and professional sports. Like how could we survive without the NFL?? Each player surely deserves his millions and millions for his contribution to society. And what would we do without TV and movies?? It would be a DISASTER!!!!!!!
Soooooooo not.
So what are such people to do?? They often have to pay someone else for one hour of work with 20 or 40 hours of their own work!!!
We need to find a solution.... אשר ברא א-להים לעשות. Hashem finished created His beautiful world so that we would continue the job - לעשות is talking about US.
