Angry Black Woman

 “Since stepping reluctantly into public life, I’ve been held up as the most powerful woman in the world and taken down as an “angry black woman.” I’ve wanted to ask my detractors which part of that phrase matters to them the most—is it “angry” or “black” or “woman”?”

To be honest, Michal, anger is never good, but the three together are a pretty toxic cocktail.

If Michal were emotionally healthier, she would ask herself how to come across as less angry [but not less black....] instead of accusing others of being anti-women and anti-black ["misogynistic" and "racist" in common discourse]. When people who are unhealthy emotionally hear criticism, they find ways to deflect it and turn it against their accusers. That is why people don't change...
