Hard to swallow. He objected to the Medinah b/c it was established with the intention of uprooting Torah and as a rebellion against מלכות שמים.
מרן זצ"ל היה אומר בשם אביו מרן הגר"ח כי טועים אלו הסבורים שלנגד עיני הציונים במאבקם למען הקמת מדינה יהודית עמדו שאיפות לאומיות ומקום מפלט מפני שנאת העמים גרידא. האמת היא שונה לחלוטין. עיקר מגמתם היה לעקור את הדת מקרב ישראל ולהפכו לאומה ככל האומות לאמור ככל העמים בית ישראל ולא באה שאיפתם לכינון מדינה אלא כמכשיר ומסייע לכך.
