One of the major tasks of life is to strengthen our Emunah constantly. This includes focusing on the value of our Torah and mitzvos. Instead of merely robotically doing what we are programmed to do [to extricate us from our "habitualness", the computer is always asking us to type in letters and number in order to prove that we are not robots] just going through the motions, we instead have to inculcate ourselves with the message that we are doing REALLY MATTERS, both in the micro and the macro [and if we are eating macaroni and make a bracha, then in the "macaroni" too], on this planet and in all the cosmos, in this world and in the next.
The pasuk [Mishlei 28-14] says
אַשְׁרֵי אָדָם מְפַחֵד תָּמִיד וּמַקְשֶׁה לִבּוֹ יִפּוֹל בְּרָעָה
Fortunate is the person who is always afraid and one who hardens his heart will fall into evil.
The "evil" is lack of belief. He has to constantly strengthen his belief in the value of his Torah, mitzvos and Avodas Hashem so that he doesn't fall nito the evil of semi or complete nihilism, where nothing matters.
