As if "fun" is an independent value to be lauded.
It is instructive that in Lashon Hakodesh there is NO WORD for fun. In Modern Hebrew they say "כיף" ["keyf"]. That word is actually from Arabic. No word is a good indication that the concept is not very central at all to anything.
Incidentally - there is also no word for "Romance" [Modern Hebrew simply borrowed the word "רומנטיקה" from English]. We don't seek romance. We seek "Love". THAT is the real thing.
