Passaic NJ — At a local Sheva Brachos, the invited guests waited in hushed anticipation for new insights into life that no one else had ever discovered before, as the chosson and kallah prepared to offer marriage advice to everyone else.
Witnesses said Yossi and Shira Weinfeld, who were married four days ago, came to the Sheva Brachos with 97 and a half hours of marriage experience and much insight and wisdom to share.
"Let us tell you some of what we've learned," Yossi reportedly began. "In all of the time we've been married, we've found that communication is the key to everything. If you don't communicate, everything else falls apart. That's one thing I would stress to all of you married folks out there. From our experience, it is essential to be open and transparent with one another. That's the foundation upon which a successful relationship is built. That is the way to build a bayis ne'eman bi-yisrael. It has worked for us like a charm. We hope this helps you chevre." Shira nodded emphatically in agreement.
The guests were appreciative that the Weinfeld's were able to draw on their hours and even days of experience to help others. "It's great to have such sage wisdom among us," Aharon Glick, a close friend of the chosson's father said. "They obviously know what they're talking about, what with all the vast history they can look back on to pass on to the rest of us. They've been through a lot, so those of us who have been married for 10, 15, 20 years can learn a lot from them. Hashem should bless them."
