Day and night the media talks about the poor children of illegal immigrants who are being separated from their parents when caught trying to sneak through the border. How cruel is the President separating those unfortunate children, they pontificate.
I am not in favor of torturing children but I wonder: You are worried about children? You really care? There are tens of millions of children living in abject poverty [as opposed to the hundreds of children separated at the border]. Who barely have any food to eat. Who don't have adequate health care. Who don't have a proper pair of shoes. What about them? Why isn't that a news story? Our world has enough resources to feed them [go to any kiddush or simcha and see how much food is thrown away] and take care of them but we are not doing so. How much money do all of these "righteous souls" donate to organizations that help underprivileged children?
So instead of just attacking and attacking why don't people do more good.
