There are billions, BILLIONS, of people who get REALLY REALLY excited and find TREMENDOUS JOY AND MEANING in ......... a ball.
A ball. Hot air surrounded by some leather or other material. That's it. But the world is CRAZZZZZYYYY over this.

Why should it matter what happens to a ball???
It went in the basket, didn't go in the basket - WHO CARES???
The answer of course is that it DOESN'T MATTER. Not in the slightest. Just that the world is living with a false narrative that it does matter. They are sooooo convinced that they squander billions of dollars and billions of hours on this nonsense.
