Speaking of Chayalim [in the previous post]:
Roi Klein (July 10, 1975—July 26, 2006) was a Kadosh. He served as an Israeli major in the Golani Brigade of the Israeli Defense Forces (and one of its most highly decorated soldiers) who died during the 2006 Lebanon War. Klein was killed in the Battle of Bint Jbeil after jumping on a grenade [while screaming Shema Yisrael] to save his fellow soldiers. He was also a Talmid Chochom who loved to learn. [He is incidentally the only soldier that I am aware of who had a sefer written in his memory that contains articles written by top Roshei Yeshiva of "Charedi Yeshivos" and other Charedi Rabbonim - some of whom prefaced their articles with words of praise for Roi. Unprecedented.]. He died some time ago but i can't get him out of mind [not that I am trying].
His widow related that one night she told him that she couldn't sleep. So he told her [half sleeping himself] that she should think of pleasant things - like ..... the connection of Am Yisrael to Eretz Yisrael [!!!!]. In the morning he had no recollection of the exchange.
