A More Accurate Ten Commandments

If Big Ben had given a lecture that wasn't politically correct but theologically correct he would have said as follows:

1] The first commandment is "I am the Lord your G-d who took you out of Egypt". The verse DOESN'T say that I am the Lord you G-d who created the world. This teaches us that the only pathway to G-d is as the G-d of the Jewish people. He told them that he is "your G-d" "Elohecha" in the original Hebrew. He has a special relationship with the Jews and that is how He must be perceived and addressed by us - as the G-d of the Jews. In the Jewish prayer for the messianic era we say the following sentence:

"ויאמר כל אשר נשמה באפו ה' א-להי ישראל מלך ומלכותו בכל משלה".

We pray that everyone with a soul will call out to the G-D OF ISRAEL and not just a universal G-d.

2] The second commandment is not to have other gods. Pure monotheism. In other words - Jesus has to go. Anyway the Catholic Church doesn't believe in the historicity of the New Testament.

3] The third commandment is not take G-d's name in vain. Unlike what Ben said ["that G-d can handle you pooh poohing in your speech"], G-d really cares about the words that come out of our mouths. We have to watch everything we say. This includes profanity.

4] Keep the Sabbath. This is only for the Jews. A Gentile is not allowed to keep the Sabbath. So make sure to turn on a light or drive a car on Saturday. If you want to taste the magic of the Sabbath you will have to convert. Otherwise, no sweat. Enjoy your weekends.

5] Honor your parents. The Talmud teaches us how to keep this commandment based on the story of a Gentile boy in the Israeli city of Ashkelon named "Dama". This shows that even Gentiles should be especially careful about this commandment.

6] Don't kill. This is not about abortion. There are other sources forbidding abortion. This is about killing a human being who has already left the womb. But there are voices being heard today that certain human beings should be killed as well, whether it is because they are old, sick or suffering. [Something about youth in Asia. What young people in Asia have to do with this I don't know.] Killing a person who is suffering and/or is going to die soon anyway is also considered killing.

7] Don't commit adultery. Every guy wants to commit adultery. That is male nature. Having sex with the same woman gets old after a while [usually a short while]. A man needs variety. But being with any woman besides one's own wife is immoral. The best way to avoid this is to avoid having any meaningful relationships with members of the opposite sex. Also to make sure you are never secluded with a member of the opposite sex. We are weak and need to create fences for ourselves. This is an ancient Jewish idea. Looking at pornography is a form of adultery [although strictly speaking is not included in the verse]. Google reports that the most pornographic searches are done in ... the Bible Belt. Be careful guys.

8] Don't steal. According to Jewish tradition this is talking about kidnapping. There is another verse that prohibits stealing. All types of stealing must be avoided. This includes, according to Jewish tradition, borrowing without permission. Fibbing on your taxes is also a form of stealing. The government [even a socialist one] imposing taxes and the like for their programs is not stealing [as much as we abhor Socialism]. That is the right of the government. If we don't like it we have to make sure not to vote Democrat which is just another name [today] for Socialist.

9] Don't bear false witness. People who "witness" for Jesus are bearing false witness. Cut it out guys!

10] Don't covet what belongs to your neighbor. This is meant to inculcate us with the belief that everything we have and don't have is a result of the will of G-d. If it was good for you - you'd have it.

Thanks for listening!!

G-d bless you, G-d bless America and we bless the G-d of Israel!!!😊😊
